Captain’s note: these are jokes, not drinking targets. Eat, hydrate, skip anything you do not want, keep alcohol away from swims and cliff walks, and never drink-drive.

  1. Board the stomach

    The two-shot breakfast motion is reassigned to espresso. Eat eggs, toast and enough bacon to retain legal counsel; the bourbon over one heroic ice cube remains in the brig until the plate is clear.

  2. First cannon

    Commission one bourbon over one heroic ice cube. Follow it with water and the confident lie that everybody unpacked properly.

  3. Shore leave

    Go march Breakwater Beach while insisting the wrong turn was strategic. A pub stop is authorised; a census of every pub is not.

  4. Opening feast

    Secure fish and chips large enough to settle an argument. Order another jug of water with the swagger of somebody who planned to all along.

  5. Tactical retreat

    The captain will say ‘one more pub’ as if history has taught him nothing. Overrule the motion and order a taxi before Questionable Decisions becomes a documentary.
